Melanie Laurent was born on February 21, 1983 in Paris d’une mother professor from dance and his father actor from postsynchronization. It makes its beginnings of actress, by chance, following a meeting with Gerard Depardieu who urges it to hold a minor part in "a Bridge Between Two Banks" in 1998. It is the catch. Career
César Award-winning actress Melanie Laurent has appeared in a few dozen movies since her screen debut in 1999, including roles in Ceci est mon corps (2001), Le dernier jour (2004) and Je vais bien, ne t'en fais pas (2006). She made her debut as a director and screenwriter for 2008's De moins en moins, and is featured in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009), her first Hollywood movie.

Although Melanie Laurent may be largely unknown to English-speaking moviegoers, she's been hailed as one of France's leading young actresses thanks to a series of strong performances in a number of critically acclaimed films. Her portrayal of Lili Tellier in Je vais bien, ne t'en fais pas earned her the prestigious Prix Romy Schneider in October 2006, and the trophies kept right on coming as the 2007 awards season got underway.

In addition to winning the Lumiere Award for Most Promising Young Actress and an Étoile d'Or as Best Female Newcomer, Melanie Laurent scored a much coveted César (the French Oscar equivalent) as Most Promising Actress for her work.

2008 marked her debut as an auteur with a film entitled De moins en moins, which she wrote and directed. It went on to earn her a Golden Palm nomination for Best Short Film at Cannes. English-speaking filmgoers will recognize her talents in Quentin Tarantino's 2009 offering Inglourious Basterds' in which she portrays French Nazi-fighter Shoshana Dreyfus.

Vanessa Chantal Paradis  is a French singer, model and actress. She became a child star at 14 with the huge worldwide success of her single "Joe le taxi". Since then, she has accomplished a career in music, movies and modelling.

Vanessa Paradis is one of the most beautiful French actresses. She was a model and a singer before she became a film-star. Her first success was the song "Joe Le Taxi", which was a success in 15 countries. In 1990, she was awarded a César for her debut movie Noce blanche (1989). For the next 5 years, she concentrated on her musical career, she rejected Pedro Almodóvar and John Boorman. Once again, Paradis' performance garnered rave reviews from critics, and propelled the starlet firmly into the ranks of A-list actors. After the success of this film, Paradis devoted herself almost entirely to acting.
Paradis, known for her dark, dramatic roles, surprised audiences with her next film choice: the romantic comedy Un Amour de Sorciere (1997) (Witch Way Love). She followed up her performance with the action comedy Une Chance Sux Deux (1998). That same year, Paradis met American actor Johnny Depp while he was in France filming his new movie The Ninth Gate (1999). They instantly hit it off, and by the end of the year the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.
